These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Got Knit's website and services. By using our platform, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.

1. using our services

Account Creation

To use Got Knit, you'll need to create an account. You're responsible for:

• Providing accurate information
• Maintaining the security of your account
• All activities that occur under your account

Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use Got Knit. If you're under 18, you need your parent or guardian's permission.

2. pricing & payments

Per-Pattern Pricing

Each pattern is priced by how complex it was to generate (its level), shown before you pay. Today there are no subscriptions and nothing renews.

Billing

• Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details
• A purchase covers that pattern, in your size, and every rewrite of it you ask for
• If a pattern you paid for is unusable because our math or writing got it wrong, tell us (the "something off?" button on the pattern) and we'll fix it or refund it

3. content & ownership

Your Content

You retain ownership of any original content you upload (photos, descriptions, etc.). By uploading content, you grant us a license to use it to provide our services.

Generated Patterns

Patterns are written by an AI system from your description, your measurements and your yarn. The stitch counts, gauge maths and shaping are computed by our software and checked before you see them, and the words around the numbers are written by a language model. Every pattern is yours: knit it, gift what you make, sell what you make. Please don't republish or sell the pattern text itself as your own design.

Knitting still depends on your hands: always knit and measure a gauge swatch, and read a pattern through before you cast on. If something reads wrong, use the "something off?" button so we can fix it.

Our Content

The Got Knit platform, including our software, design, and branding, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

4. acceptable use

When using Got Knit, you agree not to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Upload inappropriate or offensive content
• Attempt to hack or disrupt our services
• Share your account with others
• Resell or redistribute patterns (unless you have a Studio subscription)
• Use automated systems to generate patterns

5. privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect and use your information.

6. limitation of liability

Got Knit provides patterns as inspiration and guidance. We're not responsible for:

• The outcome of your knitting projects
• Errors in generated patterns (though we work hard to minimize them)
• Any damages beyond the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months

7. changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or through the platform. Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

8. termination

You can cancel your account anytime. We may also terminate or suspend accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination, you'll still have access to download patterns you've already created.
